Glenwood Wedding
Glenwood is a city in Pope County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 2,594 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Pope County6. Glenwood became the county seat in 1866, succeeding Stockholm, the previous county seat. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 14.4 km (5.6 mi), all land.
Glenwood is at the east end of Minnewaska Lake at the junction of state highways 28, 29, 55, and 104. As of the census2 of 2000, there were 2,594 people, 1,131 households, and 629 families residing in the city. The population density was 179.8/km (466.0/mi). There were 1,202 housing units at an average density of 83.3/km (215.9/mi). The racial makeup of the city was 98.92% White, 0.15% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.35% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.58% of the population.
